When someone leaves the douche bag backflow preventer valve open?

'oh um ah ya' (whatever) comes washing in with the red tide.

Geez, I'm gone at Floyd Fest 8 for a week and this window licking cretin tries to blow up the site?

Apologies to the decent folks on here for being subjected to my negative post.

Ahh, forget it, I'm done here.

Hey Rob -

Leg is doing great. Came out of the brace a week ago - put it through its paces at Floyd Fest last month. Up and down the Blue Ridge Mountains over 4 days catching some great shows. Never got sore once but that might have been the lingering effects of time well spent in the Pink Floyd Garden Stage Beer Garden. Doc says I can start running on it in 5 months. Just in time for the Shamrock Half Marathon here in Va Beach.

Fantastic shows:

The Lee Boys (Holy crap were these guys good, check out some of their shows here in the Archive)
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals http://www.archive.org/details/gptn2009-07-24.bscs-l.flac16
Emmitt-Nershi Band http://www.archive.org/details/enb2009-07-23.bscs-l.flac16
Railroad Earth http://www.archive.org/details/rre2009-07-26
The Duhks
Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Cha Chas
Forro In The Dark
Donna The Buffalo
Blues Traveler
Charles Walker and the Dynamites
Panjea
Toubab Krewe
Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band
EOTO
Ollabelle (Levon Helms' daughter sings and plays)
and many others

Got about two hours of sleep each night and had to come back to work to get some rest.

good to hear, MJ! and glad to have you back.

as to the probs hereabouts, as dire points out it's a numbers game: sooner or later they tire, and the more we go on "biz per usual" the less impact it has...

i obviously do not always follow the "good advice" of avoiding interactions, but sometimes one can find common ground and things improve (not that I am saying that is the case here!). there were some that started out as half hearted attackers that eventually interacted on a regular basis as "regular" folks, without mentioning any names of course (Dire doesn't like to recall those days...har, har).

Thanks for the update, Rick, good to hear that you'll be up and running (as it were) before too long. I'm sure you still have a lot of work ahead of you to get to that point but I have every faith that you'll make it just fine.

Sounds like it was a really good festival - with more than a few Archive mainstays on that list. I'll be sure to dip into a set or two to hear what I missed out on.(Lee Boys first up on your recommendation.)

My wife had neuropathy from levaquin antibiotic and her homeopath was able to figure out a treatment and it is now all gone. Find a good homeopath and go for an appointment.

P.S. Glad to hear your leg is doing well Mando. A friend of mine is going through PT for Hip replacement now.

it is actually physical nerve damage from the nasty break - a couple docs said it would either go away after a year or so, or would be permanent. it doesnt restrict movement - just an annoyance. but i may look into your suggestion since it certainly cannot hurt - thanks :)

I broke my radius 11 weeks ago and damaged the radial nerve somethin good. Gabapentin lessened the red hot poker sensation. The constant stinging nettle sensation always present. The bone and muscle are good, but gonna take a long time for the nerve. Good luck bro, I know how ya feel

"douche bag backflow preventer valve"

That must be one of those sub-mariner nautical terms

he has as much chance of blowing up this site as he does actually getting a date. dont let him bother you my friend. got to look at it as black comedy entertainment. i read his posts just for a laugh and reply out of the sheer entertainment value. i understand he bugs some people, but, in the grand scheme of this site and the good people here, he is but a blot of ink on the page of life, the single fruitfly hovering around an edenic array of fruit, a tiny popping sound in an otherwise pristine recording, a...... errr, you get the idea.

Morons like him have come and gone from this site many times over the many years i have been posting here. He will tire of posting sooner or later, or people will tire of him and totally ignore him (yes, even me).
